It's beginning to look alot like.... spring!!?!??!

So as I sit at the computer I am overtaken by the site of a wet and dreary night. My side yard is a literal mud puddle and my front ditch could be a kiddie pool. I am hearing of snow in some places and tornados in another. What a strange 'climate' we have!
Either way, it seems to be a wonderful comparison to life in the Ziegler home. One minute everyone is snuggling and loving on one another and the next minute someone is playing with someone else's favorite toy car. It's a hard life in the toddler/preschool years.
As of late, the boys are beginning to notice the differences in their own personalities and taking full advantage of the situation. Owen is a very sensitive child but also very controlling and OCD. :) Rhyon is very... how do i put this? Strong willed and fly by the seat of his pants. Owen LOVES to be the police and Rhyon loves running from the 'law.' It's a game everyday for Rhyon to see just how far he can push his big brother.... I find myself saying, often than none, 'Rhyon stop picking on your BIG brother!' It's so funny it's almost not funny... reference ALMOST!
Mallory is growing and glowing. She is such a pretty little girl. Her smile can light up the room... and speaking of that beautiful smile... it is now cracked. Yep, my daughter has managed to chip one of 7 teeth in her mouth. I knew she'd have to be tough, but good gracious!
Tonight, she was taking a few steps (the usual is no more than 4) toward Rhyon who didn't notice her dependancy. When suddenly, Rhyon moves out of the way and there goes Mallory leaning forward straight into the floor. My body moved in slow motion as my daughter moved in normal time. I couldn't get to her fast enough... and when I did, there it was A CHIP on her sweet little bottom tooth. I couldn't believe it! After all the crying and teething tablets, the tooth that she had worked to hard to bring into this world had just been damaged! How sad a day it was. But she is doing well. Doesn't act like it bothers her too badly. I think it hurts me worse than her. Either way, I learned tonight just how life is going to be for a little girl with two older brothers. But the thing that broke my heart the most is Rhyon's face when he realized he was involved in the situation. He felt her fall toward him and when he turned to see her crying he immediately broke down into tears and started to kiss and hug his baby sister telling her he was sorry. The poor chap cried longer than she did. He's such a wonderful big brother.
So there it is, life in the crazy world of the Zieglers'. It's nuts but I wouldn't trade my crazy world for anything else. It's mine and I treasure it. And when Mallory loses her chipped tooth, it will probably bring another tear to my eye that my daughter is growing up...... I hold my life dear. God knew I needed these little people and that there was only one man in this world that would appreciate it as much as I do. My amazing husband. If you all didn't know, I love him more than anything on this earth and I'm proud to be the mother of his children and his partner forever and ever.

Long Time No Blog

Oh dear it's been a while since i've written on this. I will spat my own hand for that one! I hope this finds you all in a wonderful sunfilled summertime sort of life! I've been enjoying summer for everything it is... long days, cool nights, fun in the kiddie pool and just watching my children grow! I'm amazed that my little girl will be 7 months old at the end of this month! She's doing nothing but growing and I love every second of it! Mallory is sitting up... although she often forgets and falls over laughing the whole way down! It's a precious site. I've not figured out if she's falling by choice or if she really is falling!
The boys are growing tall and tan before my eyes. My little summer men love being outside and it's such a joy to watch them play. Rhyon has really developed a large vocab this summer. He amazes me with new words everyday! Along with the new vocab came a big boy kind of attitude. It's actually quite cute to see his personality forming... as rotten as it may be! ;)
And Owen, what can I say.... my sweet sensitive Owen. He's such a great help to me and continues to grow in his education as well as his charming personality. We recently starting working on preschool type things and he is doing wonderfully. He's eager to learn and I'm eager to teach so we make a wonderful pair!
My husband is working harder than ever! Summer time means long hours for him( and bigger paychecks, praise Jesus!) He loves it. I know it's a great feeling for a man to know he has a steady income. I thank the Lord everyday for the work that he has. We are truly blessed far more than we've ever deserved. My heart breaks for the men who cannot support their families. I pray for peace and endurance over those men. It's a hard time for a father and husband in these days... but at least we have a promise of something better! Soon our father will settle the score and we will be free to live with him away from all these stresses. What an awesome day that will be. Whew. I could talk about it for days!
I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful summer! I know we are!!
Be well!

I can'd breeve out ub my dose!

So somehow I've contracted a cold of sorts and it's about to take me down! My face is about to explode! Ugh. What is it about cold weather that makes people get the crud... anyway, my sweet Owen and I are the only snot noses around here so we get no love except from one another. :)

It has really been a great week. The kids have been awesome, taking naps everyday! That gives me time to relax, or clean or sleep... feels nice to have a couple hours of quiet. Let's me catch up on my emails and now do a little ditty on the blog!

So yesterday my daughter turned a month old. I can't honestly believe it's been that long since I delivered her. Seems like yesterday. The more children I have the more I forget what life was like without them. It's like they've always been with us! And this summer, Joseph and I will have been together for 5 years and married for 4. Time really does fly when you're having fun! This year is going to be wonderful. I can't wait for every new day!

Well, I think I might tidy before the kiddos wake. Hope everyone is doing well! -Tiffany

Joining the Blog World

After much consideration, I've decided to start a blog to keep family and friends updated on how we are and what goes on here in our wonderful (busting at the seams) home! Lately, things have changed and we are really happy with the result of these changes! Our precious little Mallory Ruth arrived after much anticipation and many trips to L&D on December 29, 2008!

The arrival of this precious being changed our whole life! I am amazed at God's work and happy to be a part of such a miraculous part of life.

Owen absolutely loves little sister. He is such a great help with her, he even helps with diaper changes. He has gotten so big and is talking so audibly now that the whole world can not only hear now, but understand him when he speaks. (and boy does he!) We recently battled the potty training stage and won! He is doing wonderfully and we are so very proud of him! It was a long struggle but once he decided that he was ready, he was full speed ahead. We had tried everything we and everyone else could think of except for just letting him decide when he was ready... Attention All Potty Training Parents: this is the most beneficial way to go!

Rhyon, my baby boy has done such a wonderful job of passing his title as baby onto little sister. He has completely taken on his role as big brother and seems to be fine with it... as long as he gets his mommy time! He is a chatter box now and is so glad that we are finally able to understand what he's trying to tell us! He is potty training as well and is doing a fine job so far. He's not quite as difficult as Owen. His first time to use the potty was on his 1st birthday... he's far more willing and now that brother is taken care of we can work more closely with Rhyon.
As for me and Joseph, life could never be better. Our love grows stronger everyday and I don't know what I would ever do without his wonderful companionship. He truly is a blessing from God. He's working as hard as ever, although slow, he's still working. It's a tough time of year for everyone and we just consider ourselves blessed to have an income. So in saying that, if any of you (in this cold time of year) need assistance with your Heating and Air, please give us a call or email. We would be honored to help any of you!
Well, I guess this is enough for my first post! Peace be with you all and I hope you enjoy hearing about our life as much as we enjoy living it!
